What does it cost to use csv4you.de including the picture licence?

How can I quickly receive the product picture collection from gallay.eu?

If you are logged in on csv4you.de, you can directly transfer all the product pictures in one of your folders on your server through FTP. Since the transfer is done directly from one server to the other server, it usually does not take longer than a few minutes. You can get more information about the topic here.


Is it possible to access the csv files, without logging in at first?

Yes it is possible to access the files without prior login through special encrypted hyperlinks. Here you can see on example: Glass & Decoration Articles
You can also use this link for further processing and thereby read the csv file(s) automatically. Logging in is in this case only neccessary if you are planning to change settings on the templates or make changes in the contents of the csv file(s).

Caution!
The download of csv files from hyperlinks through your internetbrowser or through platforms such as Yatego can fail if the csv file is very large. In this case you will see a white page (timeout) and the contents of the csv file will not be downloaded. Therefore, if you want to create rather large csv files through csv4you.de, we suggest you to work with Cronjobs on your server. Further information about this topic can be found in the next paragraph.


How can I automatically create csv data by the help of Cronjob?

You have to install Cronjob on your server. With Cronjob it is possible to organize and set-up internet adresses at certain times and in specific time intervals. Through Cronjob you can for instance activate a script of your website in an interval of 24 hours. This means that every 24 hours the script will be activated on your website and backups can be done or csv files can be called up through a HTTP link from csv4you.de. These files are then saved on your server.

In the following example we explain this process step by step.

1. Menu: My Account: Save your personal access data for the FTP login of your server. At this point you can also choose whether you want to receive a notification email or not.

3. 3. From now on, the file just has to be executed by Cronjob on your server. How exactly you can install and adjust Cronjob, you can learn from your provider. Usually this process is possible through 2-3 mouse clicks. Should you have any problems with implementing Cronjob, you can search for help on professional providers from which you can install Cronjob. For instance on www.cronjob.com .

At which time and how often are the product stocks regularly updated?

At the moment, all product stock are updated every our, 15 minutes past every full hour. That means, if you create your csv file for instance at 2:30 pm, you will have the updated stock amounts from 2:15 pm. However, be aware that the stocks from the csv files are, for safety reasons, reduced by 1!
Thus, if it shows 3 for the stock of one product in our shop, it will only show 2 in your file. The display of stock numbers for a single item is in all csv files limited to 20.
If you only want to update our stock amounts, you can alternatively also use our file gallay_bestand.csv, which you can find in our ’Universal’ area. This file contains all current stock of all products. For further information, take a look here. (Link ’Hilfe ein-/ausblenden’)

All universal files are regularly updated at a 6 hour interval with the up-to-date files (1 am - 7 am - 1 pm - 7 pm).


How long does it take until the new arrivals are transferred from the online shop to the csv area?

At the moment the new arrivals are updated at 8:00 pm every day. In case the newly arrived products are gathered in our shop after 8:00 pm it takes until the day after at 8:00 until they are available in our csv data pool.


Is it possible that products can be delivered, even though they are no longer visible in the online shop?

In general the answer to that question is no. As soon as an article is sold out in our shop, it will not be visible anymore or show the stocknumber 0. In very urgent situtation we can try to fetch a product from our external warehouse stock. It is however very uncertain that we are able to provide an extra article and we therefore do not give any guarantee that we can deliver the product. Many of our products are re-ordered afterwards and the period until the next product stock is available usually takes between 3 and 12 weeks.


How can I easily have control over the product stock of several articles?

For this matter you should try to find a way that is suitable for yourself and your capabilities. The system you choose should imply the feature of updating our csv files automatically within the given time periods. Additionally, we suggest you to bring your product stock up-to-date daily and check the available product stocks manually. Different platforms offer different possibilities for this purpose. Please check the options with your shop provider or your platform operator.

We are updating our csv database hourly. All product stocks and all csv files are therefore always up-to-date. Moreover, you have the possibility to set up a filter in csv4you.de, which gives you the chance of excluding e.g. the csv files in which the stock is small than 3 or smaller than 5. This way you can minimize the risk that customers order products at the same time and the product stock runs out before the next hourly update.

Another possibility for you to be ensure the availability of your supply is to purchase several products, which might have a critical stock number, before you offer them in your online shop. This way you can have the stock saved at your account and they can be delivered to the customers any time. Especially in peak periods, like for instance Christmas, we strongly suggest to take advantage of this opportunity to avoid the intermediate sale of products, which might run out of stock.


Why are my entered categories not saved in my csv file

For this matter go to the ”Individual” area (under ”CSV-Files”) and click on ”edit” (the pen icon). Choose the section ”set category classification” and choose your category. Save the settings afterwards. From now on, all your categories should remain saved.

You are also able to set up sevaral category allocations, e.g. for the case that you are using several csv data files. Likewise you can also administrate several category allocations for csv data files.


Are the EAN-numbers going to be provided (GTIN)?

Yes. In most of our csv data files you will find the respective EAN-number to every single product.


Why are the product descriptions missing in some of my csv files?

Since 2012 we are establishing special product descriptions, which however are not provided within the csv4you.de. The reason for that is first and foremost to avoid Duplicate Content.
Please do not be surprised about some csv data files that do not possess the long descriptions. Of course you are welcome to create and publish your own product descriptions to each of our products, which can later on be transferred to your csv data files. We are happy to set up this option upon your request, completely for free.
